In your log.txt – which is a log file that stores essential information each time you run Farming Simulator, you will find a line between line number 139 to 145, where it says something like this:

Mod Directory: C:/Users/erikh/Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2025/mods/Inside this log.txt, you’ll also find the directory path where your mod directory is located **depending on whether you have installed mods from the in-game ModHub – usually under Download Content inside the startup menu of FS25 **
As a modder (mainly if you publish mods for public use) for the official ModHub (which means that your mod will be available for all platforms (Xbox, Playstation etc.) you’ll have to track this modDesc version each time GIANTS Software releases an updated version of Farming Simulator (usually called a patch). It doesn’t mean that a mod with the previous ModDesc version will fail if this is a mod with the previous ModDesc versions, but that it’s compatible with the new features a patch update may provide if using the latest ModDesc version.

It may also be crucial for older mods that a modder hasn’t updated if the log.txt shows an error/warning related to the ModDesc version. Here is some more clarity on that subject here:
