Some XML examples:

XML
<CustomParameter name="HSL" value="1 1 2"/>
      <CustomParameter name="placeableColorScale" value="0 0.08 0.12 0.57"/>
      <CustomParameter name="wetnessScale" value="0.2"/>
XML
<CustomParameter name="seasonalTintIntensity" value="0.1 0.1 0.2"/>
      <CustomParameter name="leavesSeasonGrowing" value="3.66 0.66"/>
      <CustomParameter name="flowersSeason" value="3.2 0.9"/>

The first line is usually the name of the shader variation assigned to a material. This is a unique name, but the shader’s ID is listed in this string:

XML
<Material name="alfagrey" materialId="15" customShaderId="710" customShaderVariation="hsl_color">

The parameters are shader properties, usually set and adjusted in GIANTS Editor via the Material Editing Panel.

Since the shader name isn’t listed here, the only reference is to the custom shader ID and the shader variation. But based on the parameters, the shader is the Placeables Shader, which you can find at the beginning of the i3D XML data structure, like in the example below:

XML
    <File fileId="710" filename="$data/shaders/placeableShader.xml"/>
