Despite all the ongoing roadwork and the side assets for the roads, some new features have been added. The Zielonka River is now a flowing stream, utilising the waterfall shader of GIANTS Engine. There was some trial and error involved in the experimental process to ensure the flow of river water worked correctly. After all, it’s just a visual effect that doesn’t have any impact on gameplay. Usually, all kinds of water shaders in GIANTS Engine impact the framerate, resulting in a 50 fps drop. Arguably, some may claim that frame rate is affected by high-density 3D meshes, but with GIANTS Engine, as with many other games, shaders are the leading cause and effect on performance.
